Guess what today is? It’s National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day! You probably didn’t even know that was a National day, since there are so many silly days thrown into the calendar, but this one is actually a pretty important day for shelters and rescues across the country. You see, the thing is, there are millions of homeless animals across the nation just waiting for a home. Unfortunately, a large amount of those animals are euthanized in shelters due to an over abundance of stray pets and the lack of space to care for them.
